Multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication is where you validate your log-in with more than just your password.
Who is this for?
This applies to all GemaPark users (each user log-in) and on each device they use. Each authentication lasts up to 3 months, so you will not have go through this process each time you log in.
What will happen when I log into GemaPark?
When you enter your Company, username and password as normal you will be shown the following screen listing the email addresses listed for your company in GemaPark:
Choose an email address and click Send Email.
The screen will display the following:
Navigate to the email client and open an email from support@gemapark.co.uk entitled GemaPark Account Verification. It will look like this (If you can’t find it check it hasn’t gone into your spam folder):
Enter the code into the box on the GemaPark Account Validation screen and click VALIDATE.
If your validation is successful, you will see the following screen and will be redirected to the GemaPark log in screen. You can log in as normal.
Can I send the verification email to a different email address?
By default we will allow you to send the email to the email addresses defined for your company in GemaPark. The email can be forwarded to other email addresses and the link will still be valid for 1 hour from the time of the original request so if the reception need to forward it to satellite users they can. If you wish to add more email addresses, so users can pick their own email address, you can do so in Admin>(your park)>Park Settings>General Settings. At the bottom of the screen there’s a text box that you can add comma separated email addresses to. Remember to click SAVE.
Please note that for security reasons, the Gema Account Verification settings are only visible to System Administrators (those with the SysAdmin user role).
